Head of Precision Diagnostics External Engagement

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end transactions in biomarker and diagnostics in Oncology (search/evaluation, deal proposal assessment, negotiations, and contract execution).
- Collaborate with Precision Diagnostics Leads and Oncology Translational Medicine teams to align business development with R&D strategy.
- Draft non-binding term sheets and definitive agreements with support from Procurement, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance; act as key external partner point of contact.
- Serve as internal lead for preparation and presentation of transactional aspects of business cases to senior management.
- Participate in Joint Steering Committees for major strategic collaborations to support decisions and project execution.
- Build and maintain internal/external stakeholder network and maintain high external visibility.
- Track industry trends in deal-making and deal structures.

Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in science, law, or business (MS/LLM/MBA/PhD/JD/MD).
- 10+ years life sciences industry experience; 5+ years relevant biopharma/diagnostic business development transactions experience (licensing, collaborations and/or M&A) with multiple closed deals (deal sheet required).
- Experience integrating scientific knowledge into business models; analyzing diagnostic milestones and deal structures.
- Experience building global internal/external partnership relationships.
- Expertise reviewing/editing contracts and directing Legal on term sheets and contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Oncology companion diagnostic transactions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills; ability to synthesize insights for senior management.
- Demonstrated strong negotiation skills.

Benefits/Compensation (US salary range stated): Annual base salary $242,250 to $403,750 (plus annual bonus and eligibility for share-based long-term incentive). Health care/insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
