Clinical Research and Development
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end development, alignment, and enterprise pull-through of TA/DA strategies with TAU and DDU leadership to drive integrated direction and measurable outcomes.
- Build and continuously improve TA/DA strategy processes and capabilities, including rapid, rigorous, data-supported strategic analytics and incorporation of AI/GCC capabilities; establish standards, governance, and ways of working to scale AI/LLM-enabled insights.
- Frame and lead executive-level strategy decisions; present TA/DA strategies to TAU LT, SPD, R&D leadership, and TET with options, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Own the external-facing TA/DA strategic narrative with IR and Corporate Communications to ensure consistency and alignment to enterprise priorities.
- Establish surveillance and early-warning capabilities for the therapeutic area landscape; translate competitive activity, BD/M&A, approvals, readouts, and financial reporting into implications, risk mitigations, and executive actions.
- Own commercial strategy and commercial input into overall asset strategy from PE through MDE programs; set expectations and quality gates for commercial inputs (e.g., GPTs) and integration into governance deliverables (EPC/PRC).
- Own bi-directional regional engagement with regional new product leads to validate assumptions, reconcile requirements, and provide decision-ready updates.
- Accountable for forecast governance and enterprise consistency for market/program forecasts used for LRF and portfolio prioritization.
- Lead external asset search, prioritization, and evaluation aligned to TA/DA strategies.
- Own commercial assessment, value framing, and forecasting governance for BD transactions; pressure-test assumptions and ensure transparent risks/sensitivities.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in a scientific discipline required; MBA preferred.
- 12+ years pharmaceutical industry experience (or equivalent consulting/investment banking/equity research).
- Significant experience developing corporate/therapeutic area/disease area strategies.
- Experience with early- to mid-stage pipeline commercial analysis, new product planning, and business development; late-stage preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative/qualitative, and communication skills; ability to distill complex issues and influence senior executives.
- Required: commercial forecasting, P&L analysis, deal models/valuation; working knowledge of financial statements/corporate finance/IR preferred.
