What Youβll Do
- Lead the development and execution of the US Medical strategy within the Nephrology therapeutic area (multiple potential indications).
- Serve as the primary medical point of contact for Nephrology across US Commercial, Global Medical, and Regulatory organizations.
- Oversee field medical strategy and operations for Nephrology (Field Director and MSL team).
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight for scientific content, external stakeholder engagement, congress strategy, publications, and advisory boards.
- Embed medical input in cross-functional activities including lifecycle management, launch planning, and field enablement.
- Integrate patient and HCP insights into strategic and tactical planning with a data-driven, customer-centric approach.
- Mentor and develop medical affairs talent (coaching, career path planning, succession development).
- Represent Nephrology in governance, promotional review committees, and compliance processes, aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Manage and oversee the Nephrology medical budget.
Required Skills / Qualifications
- MD, PhD, or PharmD in a clinical or scientific discipline.
- 12β15+ years of Medical Affairs experience with increasing responsibility for medical affairs planning and execution.
- 5+ years leading Medical Affairs teams across multiple products/complex therapeutic areas.
- 3+ years of experience within Nephrology.
- Experience leading medical launches.
- Experience managing a portfolio of programs or multiple indications.
- Experience developing/executing medical strategies for marketed and pipeline assets, including measurement.
- Deep understanding of medical engagement, healthcare/pharmaceutical environment, regulatory environment, field medical operations, scientific communication, and compliance.
