Key Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve the US internal communications and engagement strategy aligned to business priorities and enterprise narrative.
- Ensure a clear, consistent US story across business units, functions, and channels.
- Act as an integrator across US CGA, Global/US internal teams, site-based teams, culture councils, and HR.
- Serve as a day-to-day communications partner to the US President; increase leadership voice and messaging during key moments (events, milestone moments, transformation).
- Develop modern, high-impact executive communications to build understanding, clarity, confidence, and connection.
- Define and deliver communications strategies for enterprise change (transformation, restructuring, business-critical initiatives); ensure clarity, transparency, and consistency with context.
- Translate policy/advocacy/external developments into clear messaging for employees; align external positioning and internal understanding.
- Lead employee engagement strategy (listening, insights, action planning) and partner with HR/business leaders to strengthen culture.
- Use data and feedback to continuously improve messaging, channels, and leader effectiveness.
- Lead evolution of internal communication channels/platforms; drive modern content strategy (multimedia storytelling, executive visibility) and leverage digital/AI-enabled tools.
- Drive alignment across US business unit communications and build partnerships across therapeutic areas and teams.
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Bachelorโs degree.
- 10+ years communications experience.
- 3+ years recent experience in change/issue management, media relations, and understanding of investor relations (incl. disclosure processes) and/or brand marketing.
- 3+ years recent experience leading people (direct line leadership).
- 3+ years recent experience working in a global and/or cross-functional team.
- Technology-forward mindset; experience adopting/embedding digital platforms and/or AI-enabled tools.
Preferred:
- Masterโs degree.
- 3+ years recent experience in vaccines/pharma/corporate healthcare/public health/federal government.
- Experience with talent pipeline; expertise in US external healthcare environment, stakeholders, and regulatory process (specialty assets/access/reimbursement).
- Proven communications excellence; knowledge of FDA and CDC/ACIP processes; advocacy org experience.
- Strong judgment and integrity; business/commercial acumen.
- Strategic thinking + tactical execution; enterprise leadership; strong analytical problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal/written skills; agility and decision-making using evidence.
- Ability to manage issues/crisis (scenario planning), multiple projects, budgets/agency management, and collaborate across matrix teams.
