Senior Leader, Vaccines R&D Clinical Immunology and Diagnostics

Responsibilities:
- Envision and execute next-generation ligand binding assay (LBA) strategies: high-throughput, automated, rapid-completion alternatives to plate-based assays.
- Keep abreast of scientific/technological breakthroughs; identify and license or develop new diagnostic platforms.
- Set objectives and manage multiple assay development projects (serological, immunodiagnostic, toxicological).
- Drive prioritization of clinical epidemiological studies by optimizing logistical testing resources.
- Author/review high-level technical documents, validations, regulatory responses, and scientific publications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate new testing technologies into clinical strategies; lead technology transfers.
- Direct and mentor a diverse team of scientists (including managing multiple subordinate managers).
- Ensure laboratory/clinical testing adherence to GCLP/cGMP standards.

Qualifications (Minimum):
- PhD in Immunology or closely related biological field.
- 5+ years industry experience leading advanced tool/assay development and cutting-edge technologies.
- Experience managing other managers and mentoring junior scientists.

Skills/Technical Expertise:
- Assay development and lifecycle management (concept/design to long-term sustainability).
- Robotic sample handling systems, clinical batching, DoE, and biostatistical analysis.
- Analytical/clinical validation under GCLP and/or cGMP.
- Proficiency with LIMS and DoE software.

Preferred:
- AI/ML or algorithmic scheduling to optimize automation and automated assay data analysis.
- Experience interacting with/responding to regulatory agencies.
