Head of Global Manufacturing Science & Technology

Role: Lead global Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) for biopharmaceutical cell therapy products, ensuring process robustness, scalability, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. Responsibilities: define and execute global MSAT strategy, establish technical standards, oversee process characterization, validation, and lifecycle management, and drive process transfer and optimization. Lead a high-performing international MSAT organization, support manufacturing at internal and external sites, and advance digital and advanced manufacturing capabilities. Collaborate closely with R&D, CMC, Quality, Regulatory, and manufacturing teams, providing technical leadership and strategic input. Requirements: PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, or related field; 20+ years in MSAT, process development, or manufacturing science with global leadership experience; expertise in process validation, transfer, and lifecycle management, especially in cell or gene therapies. Preferred: experience with innovative modalities, advanced manufacturing technologies, and digital integration. High-Value: biopharma manufacturing (cell/gene therapy, biologics), process validation, lifecycle management, global manufacturing oversight, digital and advanced manufacturing tech, senior leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
