Main Responsibilities
- Support definition and evolution of the Computational & AI Strategy for R&D; translate enterprise ambition into strategic themes and priorities.
- Develop strategic narratives and materials for leadership forums and external engagements.
- Create a repeatable strategy approach: frame opportunities/challenges, define actionable approaches and investment priorities, and make recommendations grounded in data.
- Operationalize AI/digital investment prioritization across R&D functions.
- Develop business cases/investment proposals including scientific/technical impact, cost/timeline/resources, and expected value/ROI.
- Establish the organization’s operating rhythm (leadership meetings, strategic reviews, initiative tracking) and ensure disciplined execution (milestones, progress/risk tracking, proactive escalation).
- Lead cross-functional integration across R&D, Digital, Data, IT, and partners; align roles/priorities in a matrixed environment.
- Drive external innovation: support external engagement strategy, identify/assess partnerships, coordinate evaluations (scientific/technical/regulatory/commercial, financial/strategic fit), and help develop deal rationale.
- Monitor AI/data/computational science trends; assess competitive landscape; translate insights into recommendations and build/buy/partner POV.
- Improve operating model with scalable frameworks, KPIs, and performance tracking.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years in strategy, operations, consulting, or related fields.
- Experience in global, matrixed organizations; proven ability to execute strategic initiatives.

Preferred
- MBA/PhD (or equivalent).
- Pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare experience; digital/AI/data-driven experience.
- Strategic partnering/business development/external innovation.
- Experience building executive materials and influencing senior stakeholders.
