Head of Clinical Pharmacology

Role: Lead the Clinical Pharmacology function within Zai Lab, overseeing strategy, modeling, and regulatory support for global development of small molecules, biologics, and innovative therapeutics. Responsibilities: develop and execute clinical pharmacology strategies supporting drug registration, lead PK/PD, exposure-response, and dose projection analyses, and manage external CROs and collaborators. Contribute to regulatory submissions and interactions, ensuring compliance with global guidelines, and support business development activities. Build and mentor a high-performing Clinical Pharmacology team, fostering cross-functional collaboration across Clinical Development, DMPK, Regulatory Affairs, and more. Qualifications: PhD in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, or related field with 12+ years in drug development, including regulatory experience. Preferred: leadership in clinical pharmacology, extensive regulatory knowledge (FDA, EMA, CDE), expertise in model-informed drug development (population PK, PBPK), and experience with global teams, especially in biotech or Asia/China. High-value specifics: focus on small molecules and biologics, global registration, modeling and simulation, and regulatory interaction. Work setup: based in South San Francisco, CA.
