Head of Clinical Data Science

Role: Senior enterprise leader overseeing Takeda's global Clinical Data Science capabilities, focusing on transforming study design, accelerating data-driven decision-making, and enhancing lifecycle evidence delivery, especially in late-stage portfolio. Responsibilities: develop strategy for biostatistics and programming, lead a matrixed organization with Therapeutic Area Heads and platform teams, ensure high-quality statistical support across development phases, establish enterprise data science platforms for advanced analytics, and enforce regulatory compliance and industry standards. Requirements: advanced degree in Biostatistics, Data Science, or related field (PhD preferred); 15+ years in clinical data science including biostatistics and data engineering within pharma/biotech; proven leadership of global, matrixed teams; extensive experience in drug development, regulatory submissions, and health authority interactions; strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.
