Role Summary/Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise strategy for AI-enabled Clinical Excellence across Clinical Development.
- Identify high-value AI opportunities to accelerate development timelines, improve quality, reduce operational burden, and enhance decision-making.
- Advise senior leaders on emerging AI capabilities and trends.
- Drive AI adoption across study design, protocol optimization, feasibility, patient recruitment, trial execution, and clinical data review.
- Lead AI-enabled approaches to improve trial performance, operational excellence, and portfolio decisions; enable predictive/prescriptive analytics.
- Partner with digital/data science/technology to design, build, validate, and deploy AI tools and platforms; establish scalable frameworks integrated into clinical workflows.
- Develop agentic AI, generative AI, predictive analytics, and workflow automation for clinical operations.
- Provide regulatory expertise for AI/ML/advanced analytics in drug development; help establish AI governance, validation, and risk management; monitor health authority guidance.
- Lead cross-functional AI innovation teams and drive adoption via education/change management.
- Engage externally in industry forums and health authority interactions; build relationships with partners and academia.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD with 4+ years in pharma/biotech/CRO/regulatory/healthcare OR PhD with 5+ years OR MS with 7+ years.
- Experience designing/implementing AI/ML/advanced analytics in clinical research.
- Experience supporting Clinical Development/Operations/Science/Data Review/Regulatory Science.
- Cross-functional program leadership; strong GCP and regulatory knowledge.
- Ability to translate complex problems into scalable solutions; excellent communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Clinical Development/Oncology/Regulatory Science/Data Science/Clinical Informatics.
- Experience with LLMs, generative/agentic AI, or workflow automation in regulated environments; oncology experience.
- Familiarity with emerging AI regulatory frameworks; experience with global agencies (FDA, EMA, etc.).
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300; bonus target 20%; participation in share-based long-term incentive; 401(k) match, paid time off, leave, and medical/dental/vision coverage.
Work/Travel
- Hybrid; ~2.5 days/week onsite; occasional travel.
