Role Summary
You will serve as a hands-on, strategic leader responsible for advancing the application of AI across the Clinical Development lifecycle, partnering with Oncology Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Data Science, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Digital to identify, develop, and scale AI-driven capabilities.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the enterprise strategy for AI-enabled Clinical Excellence across Clinical Development.
- Identify high-value opportunities to accelerate timelines, improve quality, reduce operational burden, and enhance decision-making through AI.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on emerging AI capabilities and industry trends.
- Drive AI adoption across study design, protocol optimization, feasibility, patient recruitment, trial execution, and clinical data review.
- Lead development of AI-enabled approaches to improve trial performance, operational excellence, and portfolio decisions; enable predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Partner with digital/data science/technology teams to design, build, validate, and deploy AI tools and platforms; establish scalable frameworks integrated into workflows.
- Develop agentic AI, generative AI, predictive analytics, and workflow automation solutions for clinical operations.
- Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory expectations for AI/ML/advanced analytics; partner to establish governance, validation, and risk management; monitor health authority guidance.
- Lead cross-functional teams and drive adoption through education, change management, and capability building.
- Represent the organization in industry forums and health authority interactions; build relationships with external partners.

Minimum Qualifications
- MD with 4+ years OR PhD with 5+ years OR MS with 7+ years (pharma/biotech/CRO/regulatory/healthcare).
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing AI/ML/advanced analytics in clinical research.
- Experience supporting Clinical Development/Operations/Science/Data Review/Regulatory Science.
- Experience leading cross-functional programs with clinical, regulatory, scientific, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of GCP, clinical trial conduct, drug development, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to translate challenges into scalable technology-enabled solutions; strong communication and executive influencing.

Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Clinical Development/Oncology/Regulatory Science/Data Science/Clinical Informatics.
- Experience developing/deploying LLMs, Generative AI, Agentic AI, or workflow automation in regulated environments.
- Oncology experience; familiarity with emerging AI regulatory frameworks.
- Experience interacting with global regulators (e.g., FDA, EMA, MHRA, PMDA, Health Canada).
- Enterprise AI transformation leadership; strong publication record; experience leading teams.
