Operations
Role: Hands-on Hardware Technician supporting advanced aerial and ground-based systems development. Responsibilities: assemble, wire, test mechanical structures (composites, foam), fabricate components via CNC machining, 3D printing, and composite lay-up; develop and troubleshoot mechanical and kinetic prototypes; build wiring harnesses and electronic subassemblies; maintain shop equipment and track components; verify quality against specifications; collaborate with engineers on manufacturability and process documentation; support field deployment and on-site technical assistance. Qualifications: associate’s degree, trade certification, or extensive hands-on experience in mechanical, manufacturing, or electronics fields; 2-5 years in prototyping or R&D environments; proficiency in CNC setup, 3D printing, CAD/CAM, electronics assembly, and measurement tools; experience with aerospace/defense or unmanned aircraft preferred. Work setup: Boulder, CO; fast-paced, prototype-heavy environment; travel as needed.
