Role: Phlebotomy and plasma collection technician responsible for performing pheresis procedures, donor monitoring, and ensuring product quality and donor safety. Responsibilities: conduct venipuncture, evaluate vein performance, educate donors on plasma products, monitor for adverse reactions, record incidents using PDA, troubleshoot equipment, maintain supplies, and ensure compliance with SOPs, FDA guidelines, HSE, and OSHA policies. Provide technical guidance to staff, support donor flow and scheduling, and maintain accurate electronic data. Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent; minimum 18 months in healthcare or medical setting preferred; specialized medical or phlebotomy training preferred. High-Value: focus on plasma collection, donor safety, equipment troubleshooting, adherence to FDA and safety guidelines, possibly cross-trained in related areas, bilingual skills may be required. Work setup: physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds; environment involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous chemicals; overtime and extended hours may be required.
