Role: Phlebotomy Technician responsible for plasma collection via pheresis procedures, donor management, and equipment troubleshooting. Objectives: ensure safe, efficient plasma donation processes while maintaining donor safety and product quality. Responsibilities: perform venipuncture, monitor and evaluate donor vein performance, educate donors on plasma products, record incidents and data accurately, troubleshoot equipment, and support center operations and safety protocols. Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent; minimum 18 months healthcare or medical environment experience; preferred phlebotomy or specialized medical training. High-Value: involved in plasma collection, supporting hyperimmune programs if applicable; works in a fast-paced center with exposure to bloodborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, and extreme temperatures; physical demands include standing for long periods, manual dexterity, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Work setup: full-time, with overtime and extended hours; may require bilingual skills; physical and mental alertness essential; compliance with OSHA and safety policies mandatory.
