Role: Group Leader for Measurement Science & Advanced Characterization within Lilly's Delivery, Devices, and Connected Solutions (DDCS). Objectives: lead and expand a Center of Excellence to generate experimental data supporting drug-device performance, regulatory submissions, and technical problem solving. Responsibilities: set vision and strategy, build and lead a diverse scientific team, develop new measurement capabilities (including molecular characterization and nanoparticle analytics), promote cross-functional collaboration with modeling and AI teams, oversee method development and validation aligned with GxP and regulatory standards, and drive lab transformation through AI and automation. Requirements: Master's degree in measurement science, materials science, or related, with 15+ years in pharma/biotech/medical device R&D, including 5+ years leading teams; experience in drug delivery, molecular device characterization, and analytical control strategies. Preferred: PhD with 12+ years, proven track record in technical vision, advanced characterization expertise, lab automation, and regulatory documentation. High-value: focus on drug delivery systems, biologics, nucleic acids, combination products, regulatory submission support, GxP compliance, and innovation in measurement science for regulated environments.
