Role Summary
The Group Copy Supervisor is responsible for leading copy development on multiple brands and working closely with Editorial, Art, and Account partners, along with Creative Management to ensure that clients are satisfied with the quality of our creative work, the value of our services, and our responsiveness to their needs.
This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to commute to our Irvine, CA office at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Works with Art partner to produce and lead Brave, Authentic, Inspiring ideas and multi-channel tactics
- The lead writer on print, video, and digital projects with minimal supervision
- All copy must be clear, powerful, and free of errors, as well as correctly referenced and annotated
- Manages and works independently, often under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
- Provides constructive feedback to improve othersβ work
- Actively participates in client meetings
- Participates in MLR reviews as needed
- Attends market research as appropriate
- Contributes to strategy discussions; leads development of brand messages and positioning
- Understands that advertising is a service industry that sometimes requires extra time and effort to meet client commitments
Qualifications
- 7-10+ yearsβ pharmaceutical advertising agency experience
- BA degree or equivalent business experience within the pharmaceutical or related industry
- A proven track record of creative ability and judgment; successful client contact experience; the ability to work collaboratively with Art and Account; excellent presentation skills; previous experience managing writers; strong marketing and strategic abilities; a deep understanding of science and healthcare; strong understanding of MLR review processes and requirements; exceptional copywriting skills in all media
