Role Summary

Grad Co-op – Operations OGP MIT LGO. An applied research internship project within the Operations function, designed for MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) students as part of Amgen’s Operations Graduate Program portfolio of leadership development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete an applied research internship project at Amgen within the Operations function, contributing to the manufacture and delivery of safe and effective medicine to patients.
  • Engage with the six Operations-related functions (Global Supply Chain, Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations Transformation & Digital Strategy) as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Develop skills essential for achieving career goals and provide a basis for the student’s master’s thesis.

Qualifications

  • Required: 18 years or older
  • Required: Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Required: Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts
  • Required: Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
  • Required: Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Required: Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the co-op
  • Preferred: Currently enrolled in the dual MBA and Engineering degree (MS or PhD) from the MIT LGO program and scheduled to graduate no later than July 2027
  • Preferred: Self-starter with strong analytical/quantitative skills
  • Preferred: Team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally in a global organization
  • Preferred: Excellent time and project management skills
  • Preferred: Problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a dedicated approach to achieving success
