Role Summary

The GMP Cleaning Associate II is part of a multi-tiered operations team dedicated to delivering medicine to patients globally. Under the guidance of senior personnel, the role performs cGMP cleaning tasks within the production suite and facility, interacting with electronic systems and data. Responsibilities include completing daily facility cleaning and readiness tasks, developing skills in various support areas, participating in safety and compliance initiatives, investigations, and assisting with technical and organizational problem-solving to enhance safety, quality, and schedule/cost performance.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate GSK Culture – ambitious for patients, accountable for impact, and doing the right thing in every interaction and task.
  • Complete daily tasks/cleaning in environmentally controlled areas per SOPs to adhere to the facility cleaning program.
  • Document all activities clearly, accurately, and compliantly.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions and equipment; stock gowning rooms and cleaning closets with appropriate materials.
  • Learn the manufacturing/cleaning schedule and proactively ensure cleaning equipment and materials are adequate and available.
  • Develop competency with digital platforms (MES, InfoLog, Infobatch, AR/VR) and various cleaning and support operations.
  • Maintain mechanical and technical aptitude; perform annual facility inspections under supervision.
  • Communicate with personnel to ensure team alignment and prevent interference between cleaning and production activities.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • High School Diploma
    • 6+ months of prior manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with demonstrated high performance
    • Medical clearance to wear a Powered Air Purified Respirator (PAPR)
  • Preferred:
    • Some mechanical aptitude; ability to follow detailed processing instructions and accurately document all necessary documentation
    • Medical clearance to wear a PAPR
    • Understanding of basic FDA cGMP regulations
