Clinical Research and Development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific and strategic leadership for oncology biologics discovery through IND; ensure mechanistic rationale, differentiation hypotheses, and clinical line of sight.
- Integrate AI/ML and digital approaches into biologics drug discovery and shape ODDU’s long-term research vision.
- Shepherd biologics oncology programs from discovery through IND; advance milestones (development candidate nomination, IND-enabling activities).
- Own early asset strategy; lead cross-functional teams; manage external partnerships for IND submissions.
- Mentor emerging leaders; build biologics discovery capabilities; foster scientific rigor, challenge, and urgency.
- Represent Takeda/ODDU externally (academia, biotech, industry, BD) and support innovation via partnerships/in-licensing/acquisitions.
- Lead portfolio progression/prioritization/termination using rigorous, data-driven criteria; discontinue non-differentiated or insufficiently validated programs.

Qualifications (Who You Are / Required):
- Deep oncology expertise; major contributions to multiple INDs; proven track record advancing biologics into the clinic.
- Deep expertise in antibody-based and multifunctional biologics (multi-specifics, immune modulators, tumor-targeted, Fc/payload formats).
- Strong leadership in matrixed environments; AI/ML-driven discovery passion.
- Proven ability to build/lead/inspire teams; exceptional communication.

Education & Experience:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in life sciences; 15+ years in discovery/preclinical development, including 10+ years in leadership.

Compensation (as stated):
- U.S. base salary range: $208,200–$327,140; location: Boston, MA.
