Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Oversee study delivery with the study team and internal/external service providers to ensure operational excellence.
- Delegate tasks; lead, facilitate, and delegate trial-related meetings aligned with cross-functional teams; act as primary escalation point.
- Lead implementation, execution, and management of global Phase I–IV clinical trials.
- Develop and execute clinical trial strategies; track/report progress, risks, and mitigations to senior leadership.
- Own TMF accountability (SME for Clinical Operations sections); develop/review trial plans and key clinical documents.
- Review/approve protocols, informed consent forms, monitoring plans, and CSRs per SOPs.
- Contribute to oversight/strategy including feasibility, planning, vendor selection, recruitment, and financial forecasting.
- Manage risks/contingencies; develop/manage budgets and timelines; oversee vendors/providers.
- Oversee trial tracking systems; ensure archiving compliance; serve as trial lead/SME during audits/inspections.
- Coordinate IMP shipment authorization; assist data queries; review monitoring reports.
- Lead/participate in Clinical Ops/GCDO initiatives; ensure GCP/SOP compliance.
- People management: mentor GSMs/CRAs/GSAs; lead CTWGs; resolve complex issues; maintain high-performing teams.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 7+ years clinical research; 3+ years clinical operations leadership; global trial management.
- Strong org/time-management; written/verbal communication and stakeholder management.
- Microsoft Office; knowledge of CT electronic systems (TMF/CTMS); ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements; SSU planning.
- Cross-functional track record; project management for global multi-center trials; leadership/governance; 10–20% travel.
Education/Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree (life sciences/healthcare/related) or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
