Responsibilities:
- Drive gastrointestinal (GI) oncology disease area strategy across multiple assets.
- Contribute to multi-asset portfolio optimization and late-stage asset development using disease understanding and data-driven decisions.
- Own disease-area focused clinical development strategy; coordinate end-to-end compound strategy planning/implementation for gastrointestinal malignancies with cross-functional, asset-oriented teams.
- Represent the Disease Area function in cross-functional efforts for commercial brand strategy.
- Present and discuss disease-area strategy with internal stakeholders, external investigators/advisory boards, and worldwide regulatory authorities.
- Contribute to clinical assessment of external business development in GI malignancies.
Qualifications:
- MD or PhD with proven experience in solid tumor oncology clinical development.
- 7+ years of experience across early to late-stage clinical R&D in biotech/pharma.
- Strong understanding of the global drug development process and functional roles/responsibilities.
- Experience with successful marketing authorization submissions.
- Experience leading cross-functional clinical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 20% domestic and international travel.
Preferred:
- Strong leadership and GI oncology disease expertise for effective international collaboration.
- Experience preparing regulatory submissions and negotiating with health authorities.
- Experience with commercial/medical collaboration in launch or post-launch.
- Experience in matrix environments; ability to integrate project impacts on clinical strategy.
- Strong internal/external networking; experience with regional alliances/co-development.
- Cross-cultural communication bridging clinical, business, and regulatory needs.
- Ability to set clear goals and balance investment vs. deliverables.
