Global Project Head (GPH), Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology Leader
Responsibilities:
- Drive GI Oncology disease-area strategy across multiple assets.
- Contribute to multi-asset portfolio optimization and late-stage asset development.
- Own disease-area focused clinical development strategy.
- Interface with cross-functional, asset-oriented global product teams to plan and implement end-to-end compound strategy for gastrointestinal malignancies.
- Represent the Disease Area function in cross-functional teams responsible for commercial brand strategy.
- Present and discuss disease-area strategy with internal stakeholders, external investigators and advisory boards, and worldwide regulatory authorities.
- Contribute to the clinical assessment of external business development in GI malignancies.
Qualifications:
- MD or PhD with proven experience in solid tumor oncology clinical development.
- 7+ years of experience across early- to late-stage clinical R&D in biotech/pharma.
- Understanding of the global drug development process and functional roles/responsibilities.
- Experience with successful marketing authorization submissions.
- Experience leading cross-functional clinical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to travel ~20% domestic and international.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership and clinical expertise in a specific disease area (ideally GI oncology).
- Experience preparing regulatory submissions and negotiating with health authorities.
- Experience collaborating with commercial/medical functions in launch or post-launch settings.
- Experience in matrix environments.
- Ability to integrate project aspects and their impact on clinical strategy.
- Ability to build internal/external networks beyond initial expertise.
- Experience with regional alliance partnerships or co-development.
- Strong interpersonal, cross-functional, cross-cultural communication (clinical/business/regulatory; marketing/payer/regulatory needs).
- Ability to define clear, challenging, realistic goals and assess investment vs. deliverables.
