Global Project Head (GPH), Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology Leader

Role Responsibilities:
- Drive GI Oncology disease-area strategy across multiple assets.
- Contribute to multi-asset portfolio optimization and late-stage asset development via comprehensive disease understanding and data-driven decision-making.
- Accountable for disease-area focused clinical development strategy.
- Interface with cross-functional asset-oriented GPTs to ensure correct planning and implementation of end-to-end compound strategy for gastrointestinal malignancies.
- Represent Disease Area function at the cross-functional GBT responsible for commercial brand strategy.
- Present and discuss disease-area strategy with internal stakeholders, external investigators/advisory boards, and worldwide regulatory authorities.
- Contribute to clinical assessment of external business development in gastrointestinal malignancies.

Basic Qualifications:
- MD or PhD with proven experience in solid tumor oncology clinical development.
- 7+ years of experience across early to late-stage clinical R&D in biotech or pharma.
- Understanding of global drug development process and functional roles/responsibilities.
- Experience with successful marketing authorization submissions.
- Experience leading cross-functional clinical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 20% domestic/international travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong leadership/clinical expertise in a specific disease area, ideally GI oncology.
- Experience preparing regulatory submissions and negotiating with health authorities.
- Experience collaborating with commercial and medical functions (launch/post-launch).
- Experience in matrix environments.
- Ability to integrate project aspects and impact on clinical strategy.
- Ability to build internal/external networks.
- Experience with regional alliance partnerships/co-development.
- Strong cross-functional/cross-cultural communication; understands marketing, payer, and regulatory needs.
- Ability to set challenging, realistic goals and balance investment with deliverables.
