Role Summary
Global Process Senior Manager, IBP & Demand Management leads end-to-end planning excellence across Johnson & Johnson’s global supply chain. The role strengthens Integrated Business Planning (IBP) standards and advances Demand Management capabilities, ensuring synchronization of supply chain processes to meet patient needs while optimizing working capital and supporting profitable growth. Partners with Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to embed IBP processes and enhance demand planning maturity across the enterprise, balancing strategic design with hands-on deployment and driving cultural change through advanced planning technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and align IBP standards, drive governance, assessment, training, and adherence; act as IBP champion and change leader; guide process redesign in response to regional changes.
- Support cross-functional teams in implementing IBP processes across sectors and geographies; advance IBP maturity and adoption with measurement of cross-functional adherence, training, and integration of inventory & profitability into discussions.
- Lead system and tool developments to enhance user experience across platforms (e.g., Anaplan, OMP, digital tools); drive initiatives for Risk & Opportunities, forecast visibility, and inventory in IBP in partnership with Commercial & Finance.
- Lead Communities of Practice within Supply Chain and across functions; manage learning and development curriculum for IBP practitioners globally; drive IBP system enhancements with IT and Finance.
- Develop and deploy global standards for Demand Planning, including maturity models, frameworks, and metrics; advance capabilities through best practices and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with IT/Digital to align technology solutions with planning needs; align Plan & Finance on predictive forecasting and prioritization; promote Forecast Value Add (FVA) adoption in markets.
- Foster alignment between Demand Planning and other planning pillars (Supply Network, Production, Inventory) to ensure integrated outcomes.
- Influence senior stakeholders in a matrix environment; lead virtual cross-functional teams through COPs; communicate complex concepts clearly at all levels.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or focused degree preferred in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- Experience and Skills: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience; strong exposure to IBP and Demand Planning within Supply Chain Planning; hands-on S&OP/IBP/demand planning system experience; experience with APS tools (OMP, Anaplan, or equivalent); knowledge of SAP/JDE advantageous; global, cross-sector planning and process-improvement experience; strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills; ability to influence without direct authority in a dynamic, matrix environment.
- Preferred: Certifications in APICS, Lean/Six Sigma, or Project Management; ability to lead system enhancements and user adoption for planning technologies; experience benchmarking and applying best-in-class planning practices; experience advancing IBP or Demand Planning maturity globally; expertise in statistical modeling and/or PowerBI for reporting.
Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s / University or equivalent degree; advanced degree or focused degree preferred in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
Additional Requirements
- Up to 20% domestic and/or international travel depending on business needs.
- On-site requirement: ability to work on-site a minimum of three days per week with up to two remote workdays per week.
