Role Summary

Global Price and Market Access Director in Gaithersburg, MD. Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office on average). Leads on price and market access for early assets within Oncology Market Access and Pricing (OMAP), collaborating across global, regional, and local levels.

Responsibilities

  • Global Price and Market Access Strategy for Early Assets including business development
  • Provide robust pricing inputs and assumptions for investment decisions and internal forecasts with line of sight to commercialization; ensure alignment across the portfolio
  • Provide input and guidance on early Clinical Development Plans
  • Provide input and guidance on regulatory trial designs, target product profiles and endpoints versus payer needs
  • Develop national to regional to local access insights for cell and radio conjugates across geographies with AZ regional and country teams
  • Develop policy narratives to support access and reimbursement for cell and radioconjugates
  • Develop early value messages and claims that meet payer needs across regions; identify evidence gaps and solutions
  • Matrix manage a cross-functional team to support the development of global price and market access strategy; align with payer evidence strategy
  • Revise pricing and market access strategies and value stories to optimize lifecycle value
  • Drive payer insights to ensure robust and validated price and reimbursement strategies; stay updated with market dynamics
  • Plan launch and commercialization activities, budgets, and timelines to achieve global reimbursement and access

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Biomedical Science, Business, Economics, or similar
  • Minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical or consulting experience
  • Pricing experience with cell, gene therapy, or radioconjugates
  • Oncology therapy area expertise
  • PM&A or commercial cell therapy leadership experience
  • Relevant drug development and/or commercialization experience in the pharmaceutical/medical industry
  • Knowledge of needs and expectations of national and regional payers, insurers, and commercial customers in strategic markets
  • Ability to make reasoned decisions under pressure
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively
  • Excellence and precision in communication

Skills

  • Experience with evidence-based customer solutions; collaboration with clinicians, pharmacists, and payers
  • Commercial strategy experience (e.g., managed markets, pricing/access)
  • Ability to construct payer value stories and incorporate into TPPs
  • Experience in country or regional pharmaceutical roles

Education

  • Graduate degree as listed in Qualifications
