The Enterprise Connectivity (EC) organization is seeking a hardworking IT leader to manage Lilly’s global network encompassing WAN, LAN, wireless, cloud networking, Data Center Networks, and DDI services (DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management) services. In this role, you will be instrumental to driving major initiatives across network infrastructure. What You’ll Be Doing

This role will be responsible for leading a technical team, managing vendor relationships, collaborating with other Tech@Lilly teams, and driving strategy. As an ideal candidate, you should have a solid background in technical leadership, a proven ability to drive innovation, and superb communication skills. The ability to collaborate effectively across teams is a must, as you will work closely with Cybersecurity, Hosting & Cloud Services, Manufacturing & Quality (M&Q), Lilly Research Labs (LRL), and other application teams.

How You’ll Succeed

Technical Delivery

  • Influence team’s ability to implement major projects that both support the business
  • Ensure that the broader EC network strategy aligns well with best practices and optimal user experience
  • Find opportunities for new capabilities and develop proposals to show business value
  • Communicate effectively with business and Tech@Lilly team members on project status, plans, issues, and resolutions


People Management

  • Manage a high-performing team by challenging employees to continuously improve and deliver business-impacting results
  • Ensure individual growth through appropriate coaching, development/career planning, and talent identification
  • Prioritize projects in the portfolio to ensure the team is focused on the most impactful work for the business
  • Manage an infrastructure budget with a focus on spend optimization across multiple vendor contracts, annual budget planning, and monthly forecast


Relationship Management

  • Oversee relationship with the Managed Network Services (MNS) provider to ensure compliance with contractual expectations
  • Negotiate and manage third-party contracts, such as maintenance and support agreements
  • Establish/maintain a strong working relationship with other Tech@Lilly teams to ensure alignment on key business objectives
  • Understand and anticipate end user demand for network services


What You Should Bring

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams
  • Demonstrated capability to lead & influence major projects and business outcomes
  • Experience in managing relationships with third-party vendors and service providers
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading or being a high performing individual contributor in an IT service organization


Additional Information

  • Position requires 5-10% travel
  • Position located in Indianapolis, Indiana working in a hybrid model. (Relocation required).

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$124,500 - $182,600

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
