Role Summary
Global Medical Communications Lead β Rhinology, based in Morristown, NJ or Cambridge, MA. You will participate in developing the global medical communications strategy, establish and update scientific platforms, and implement medical education and communications plans for Dupilumab Rhinology indications as part of the Scientific Communications Team in Global Medical Affairs. This role collaborates with Research & Development, Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access to deliver therapeutic solutions that support patient needs, focusing on rhinology and related diseases.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of cross-functional strategic medical communication plans for respiratory indications of dupilumab.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of global medical education and congress engagement initiatives, including live and virtual symposia, standalone educational events, and medical booth experiences.
- Oversee congress strategy and execution, including booth design and engagement, scientific symposia, and partnerships with congress associations to maximize HCP engagement and scientific exchange.
- Develop and deliver scientifically accurate, fair-balanced medical communication resources such as scientific platforms, lexicons, FAQs, training materials, and disease backgrounders in accordance with timelines, compliance policies, and budgets.
- Develop strategically aligned, balanced, and accurate scientific communication points to guide the creation of internal and external global and local medical content.
- Design and execute global medical education plans based on medical strategy and identified HCP educational needs and knowledge gaps.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external stakeholders (e.g., HCPs, DOLs, PAGs) to co-create impactful educational content across formats including slide decks, field medical tools, and digital learning assets.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs and ensure compliant engagement in medical education initiatives.
- Manage medical communication agencies and hub partners to ensure operational excellence, innovation, and cost efficiency.
- Forecast and manage annual budgets, agency contracts, invoicing, and financial reconciliations.
- Provide regular updates on the status of medical communication and education plans to internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Develop and implement omnichannel dissemination strategies, delivering personalized, modular content to HCPs through orchestrated digital platforms to enhance accessibility and engagement.
- Leverage AI-based tools and strategies for content creation, customization, and dissemination.
- Assess the impact of communication tactics using KPIs and ROI metrics, applying data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Ensure digital and omnichannel approaches are integrated into all scientific communication and education initiatives.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences or pharmaceutical sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD)
- Minimum of 2-5 yearsβ experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry (may include agency experience)
- Proven track record in strategic scientific communications planning and medical education
- Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific and medical data
- Experience with Medical/Legal/Regulatory review processes and systems (e.g., Veeva, Promomats, 4M)
- Expertise in Rhinology preferred; experience in Dermatology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, or Immunology is a plus
- Experience with biologics preferred
