Role Summary
Global Medical Affairs Leader with a focus on Breast Cancer within Oncology. Lead medical strategy and execution to support launch and lifecycle management globally, collaborating across internal and external partners to shape key strategic elements of medical plans.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously, managing multiple projects and tasks and parts of the brand budget.
- Partner with indication lead GMALs and Senior GMALs on external communications strategy.
- Engage across functions and markets at a peer level as enablers for key senior stakeholders.
- Drive external engagement and communication strategy.
- Collaborate with Senior GMALs to deliver evidence strategy including ESR strategy.
- Serve as Strategic Lead for Advisory boards, including developing strategic plans and agendas and ensuring appropriate stakeholders are involved.
- Responsible for Key External Expert mapping activities and engagement plans with internal stakeholders.
- Develop an external education plan including delivery of AstraZeneca-led Symposia and other scientific exchanges.
- Manage and/or contribute to Global Medical Projects.
- Ensure all Medical and business activities comply with AZ standards, SOPs, and external regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent medical/scientific qualifications and/or significant industry and/or therapeutic experience.
- Minimum of 4 yearsβΓΓ΄ experience in pharma/life sciences and/or medical experience (clinical/academic/medical affairs agency roles).
- Experience in External Engagement and communication strategy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Experience of multi-stakeholder management.
- Ability to influence others without authority.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, and health outcomes.
- Good understanding of drug development and commercialization processes including outcomes research / payer access issues.
- Proven ability to generate, analyse and interpret clinical trial and published data.

Additional Requirements
- 3+ years in a Headquarters Medical Affairs role or Global Clinical R&D (preferred).
- Oncology and Breast Cancer experience; country launch experience (preferred).
