About the role:
Join as Global Material Management Lead to strengthen Takeda’s resilient, compliant, efficient end-to-end supply chain through global material management standards, policies, and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead global initiatives for material governance, change control, and standardization across manufacturing, partners, and supply chain functions.
- Develop and deploy global material management policies/standards/procedures.
- Ensure consistent material master data standards, specifications, and classifications across systems and sites.
- Align material management with supply chain and manufacturing strategies.
- Implement material segmentation and sourcing to improve supply chain resilience.
- Establish governance forums/decision processes; define and monitor performance; drive continuous improvement.
- Lead global material change governance and cross-functional impact assessments (quality, patient safety, regulatory filings, lifecycle plans) and partner with Quality/Regulatory for compliance.
- Identify material standardization opportunities; reduce material/SKU complexity; improve ERP/MRP material master governance.
- Drive sourcing automation and touchless execution; define digital initiatives for visibility/analytics.
Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree (Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related); MBA/MSc preferred.
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical supply chain/material management.
- Global supply planning and material lifecycle management experience.
- Proven cross-functional leadership; influence senior/global stakeholders.
- Advanced planning systems/digital tools experience.
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, material specifications, regulatory/GMP requirements.
- Strong analytical/modeling and strategic decision-making; end-to-end supply chain understanding; excellent communication and resilience.
Compensation & Benefits (if applicable): U.S. base salary range $154,400–$242,550; may include incentives and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, holidays, well-being, up to 80 hours sick time, up to 120 hours paid vacation).
