About the role:
- Lead the global technology, automation, and AI strategy for Global Legal & Ethics/Compliance Operations (GLEC) in partnership with DD&T.
- Drive adoption and maximize value of the GLEC technology ecosystem for legal/E&C workflows (matter/case management, eBilling, contracting, IP, investigations support, reporting, knowledge management).
- Ensure a modern, data-driven, AI-enabled organization through platform strategy, integrations, data governance, and user adoption; deliver large-scale transformation with key stakeholders (DD&T, Security, Privacy, Finance).
How you will contribute:
- Develop long-range vision and translate it into actionable AI/technology/data initiatives.
- Own and deliver a multi-year function technology & AI roadmap.
- Advance workflow/portfolio visibility; intake/triage and end-to-end workflow automation.
- Deliver legal/practice-area AI solutions, IP lifecycle management & analytics.
- Drive CLM automation (risk scoring, templates, contract workflows).
- Support matter/case management, eBilling, and financial/operational analytics.
- Lead legal hold, preservation, records, investigations support, and defensible data practices.
- Create and govern AI strategy and Microsoft 365 Copilot use cases; build an “AI Center of Enablement.”
- Build scalable automation/self-service experiences; evaluate integration opportunities.
- Deliver training/playbooks and measure adoption.
- Operate and manage performance of the technology ecosystem (monitoring, remediation, release management, vendor oversight).
- Build data/analytics foundation by connecting data across systems; deliver dashboards and performance reporting.
- Oversee sourcing/contracting/vendor management and ROI/value tracking.
- Partner with IT, Privacy, Security, and Procurement on governance for prompt usage, model behavior, data boundaries, and responsible AI.
Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing operations team; define roles, competencies, career paths.
- Set operating rhythms, service levels, and training.
- Foster accuracy, accountability, customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- 12+ years in legal and/or ethics & compliance technology, operations, and/or product management.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Expert in data insights/analytics and data visualization.
- Hands-on leadership with legal/compliance platforms, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and SharePoint.
- Strong AI/LLM enablement experience.
- Proven success leading tech transformations and driving adoption.
- Deep understanding of core legal/E&C processes (contracting, IP, litigation, governance, data preservation, investigations support, knowledge management).
- Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and data modeling.
- Strong program management and change leadership.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead/collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and partner with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams and developing talent.
