Responsibilities:
- Synthesize information from market research, competitive intelligence, secondary data, and advisory boards to develop strategic, business-relevant insights.
- Integrate insights to develop business cases; facilitate workshops supporting clinical development plans, lifecycle management, and other strategic decisions (including go/no-go and senior leadership presentations).
- Plan, design, and lead primary market research with a research agency across product lifecycle phases.
- Lead ad hoc strategic secondary analytics.
- Serve as SME for HCP, patient, and payer insights for the brand.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to varied audiences, including senior leadership; act as a “devil’s advocate” when needed.
- Partner with commercial leadership to define/prioritize objectives, budget, and work plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage best-in-class vendor relationships; seek opportunities to innovate and advance capabilities.
- Support advancement of AI capabilities for insights generation.
- Support marketing excellence through aligned insights generation and brand-building knowledge.
- Ensure routine and ad hoc projects comply with Amgen SOPs and meet quality, timeliness, and budget service expectations.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctorate degree + 2 years in market research/analytics/competitive intelligence/sales or marketing operations; OR
- Master’s degree + 6 years; OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years; OR
- Associate’s degree + 10 years; OR
- High school diploma/GED + 12 years.
- Plus minimum 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leading teams/projects/programs or directing resource allocation.

Preferred:
- Exceptional business acumen and strategic/critical thinking; ability to influence key decisions.
- Ability to build/evolve brands via insight generation (market research design, Jobs-to-Be-Done, “moments that matter,” translating insights into brand narratives/customer experiences).
- Strong understanding of marketing strategy.
- Ability to extract/analyze/consolidate data with accuracy and translate into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage multiple stakeholders/projects.
- Knowledge of drug development, commercialization, and healthcare industry (patients, HCPs, payers).
- Experience leading primary research.
