Role Summary
Global HEVA Neurology Team Lead will lead the global Neurology Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team to deliver high-quality HEOR evidence in support of the Neurology Franchise. The role drives strategic HEVA initiatives, shapes global evidence generation plans, and partners with cross-functional teams to demonstrate value and enable market access. Location options include Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of HEOR researchers dedicated to delivering high-quality HEOR evidence to support the Neurology Franchise.
- Drive measurable business impact through strategic HEVA initiatives that directly support commercial objectives and market access goals compliantly and efficiently.
- Develop and execute comprehensive global HEVA strategies that maximize product value propositions and competitive positioning.
- Partner with commercial teams to translate HEVA insights into actionable business strategies.
- Drive development of business-relevant research agendas and strategies across the Neurology portfolio through cross-functional input and alignment.
- Provide exceptional leadership to the global Neurology HEVA team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and impact-driven performance.
- Mentor and develop team members to build world-class HEVA capabilities within the organization.
- Drive organizational change and process improvements to enhance team effectiveness and business impact.
- Represent HEVA on the Global Neurology Franchise Leadership team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure pricing and access decisions are aligned with asset value and robust real-world evidence packages.
- Align with the US HEVA team to incorporate US insights into global strategic plans and coordinate evidence generation, modelling, and evidence synthesis activities.
- Deliver compelling presentations to senior leadership, including C-suite executives and global leadership teams, and communicate complex health economics concepts clearly.
- Influence key business decisions through data-driven HEVA recommendations.
- Ensure clinical development plans are designed to deliver true differentiation aligned to Sanofi Neurologyβs best-in-class or first-in-class ambition.
- Oversee the design, execution, and publication of high-quality HEOR studies; develop comprehensive real-world evidence strategies; ensure scientific rigor and regulatory compliance across all HEVA activities.
- Manage the development of global launch strategies and evidence generation plans, providing strategic HEVA input into Integrated Evidence Generation Plans (IEGPs) to align clinical, real-world evidence, and value demonstration objectives.
- Lead HEOR dissemination, application, and promotional use to advance HEOR findings across teams.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with payers, health technology assessment bodies, and academic institutions; represent Sanofi at major scientific conferences and industry forums.
- Collaborate with external research partners and key opinion leaders to advance HEVA science; engage with regulatory agencies on HEOR matters.
- Actively participate in external professional HEOR societies and engage with external partnerships.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in health economic modeling, real-world evidence generation, and outcomes research methodologies.
- Deep understanding of global health technology assessment processes and payer decision-making frameworks.
- Proven track record of successful market access and reimbursement support through HEVA evidence and ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels of the organization using HEVA developed insights and evidence.
- Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong change management capabilities and experience leading organizational transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and functions.
- Extensive experience in neurology therapeutic areas required, including deep understanding of disease pathophysiology, treatment paradigms, and market dynamics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Education
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in health economics, epidemiology, public health, economics, or related field required.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite 3 days a week.
- Must be able to travel 20% domestically and internationally.
