Role: Senior leader responsible for shaping and executing global in vitro pharmacology strategy within Takeda's drug discovery platform, focusing on small and large molecules. Responsibilities include leading a dispersed team of scientists and managers, setting assay standards, establishing scalable high-throughput screening processes, and integrating quantitative pharmacology to inform key decision points from hit identification to IND readiness. The role involves overseeing assay development, automation, data quality, and external scientific representation, alongside resource management and technological advancement. Requirements: PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related field with 15+ years industry experience, including senior leadership in discovery pharmacology, with expertise in biochemical and cell-based assays, assay miniaturization, automation, and informatics. Preferred skills include experience with IND programs, biophysical modalities, advanced analytics, and therapeutic areas such as oncology, neuroscience, or immunology.
