Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Sanofi Vaccines’ global external partnership strategy across the value chain; define priority gaps/needs for partnerships and external financing; establish success metrics; create grant decision processes and recommend selections to leadership.
- Lead and manage the Science Partnerships and Funding Team; recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing global team; ensure operational excellence and agility across changing partnership/funding environments.
- Develop and execute global/regional external stakeholder and funder engagement plans; build relationships with agencies across US, EU, UK, Asia/Pacific, Middle East, and Americas; collaborate with Public Affairs, Global Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations.
- Oversee RFP responses and cross-functional proposal/budget development; define partnership objectives and value proposition; administer grants/partnerships internally and externally with strong compliance.
- Report progress and impact to executive committees/leadership; develop KPIs for external grants; identify business risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Investigate innovative funding streams and partnership models to support R&D/infrastructure investments.
About You / Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in relevant fields (bacteriology, virology, immunology, infectious diseases, or related) or M.D. or Pharm.D.
- 10+ years post-graduate work experience.
- Experience establishing public-private partnerships.
- Resourceful and up-to-date on emerging partnership opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal, team, and negotiation skills; ability to work through influence.
- Fluent English (verbal and written); ability to work in international settings.
- Agent of change.
