Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Sanofi Vaccines’ global external partnership strategy across the value chain (Research to Industrialization), including defining priority partnership/financing needs, success metrics, grant decision-making processes, and recommendations to leadership.
- Lead and manage the Science Partnerships and Funding Team (recruit, manage, develop), ensuring operational excellence and agility across changing public-private partnerships, funding opportunities, and regional/global priorities.
- Develop and execute global/regional external stakeholder and funder engagement plans; build and maintain relationships with agencies across US, EU, UK, Asia/Pacific, Middle East, and Americas, in collaboration with Public Affairs, Global Medical Affairs, and Commercial Operations.
- Oversee grant submissions (RFP responses) and partnership development; mobilize internal cross-functional teams to deliver proposals, budgets, and value creation propositions; ensure internal/external administration processes and compliance with grant requirements.
- Report progress to the Global Vaccine Business executive committee and related leadership groups; develop KPIs for external grants; identify and mitigate grant-related business risks.
- Investigate and pursue non-conventional/innovative funding streams and partnership models for R&D/infrastructure investments.

About You (Qualifications/Required):
- Ph.D. in relevant fields (bacteriology, virology, immunology, infectious diseases or related) or M.D. or Pharm.D.
- 10+ years of post-graduate work experience.
- Experience establishing public-private partnerships.
- Fluent English (verbal and written) and ability to work in international settings.
