Summary of Job:

The purpose of this role is to lead the group of statisticians providing statistics expertise for real world studies and ensuring innovative expertise in evidence synthesis to support Kyowa Kirin’s products throughout the product life cycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and accountable for the provision of statistical expertise and evidence synthesis to support real world studies demonstrating the value of a Kyowa Kirin’s product portfolio.
  • Oversee the global statistic and evidence synthesis team ensuring timely and robust execution.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with cross-functional teams representing the real world statistics and evidence synthesis within the global HEOR subfunction.
  • Support Heath Technology Assessments with the strategy, planning and execution of evidence synthesis for Kyowa Kirin’s product portfolio to demonstrate value of the products in comparative analyses.
  • Develop and maintain strong positive relationships and collaborations with a network of key global external stakeholders, including real world statistics and evidence synthesis experts.
  • Maintain awareness of changes within the reimbursement/regulatory landscape and requirements for evidence synthesis and statistical methods pertaining to real world data.
  • Provide line management, coaching and mentorship to grow the expertise of the team.

Job Requirements:

Education

Masters or Ph.D in Statistics, Mathematics or closely related discipline.

Experience

Minimum 5 years experience specifically in real world statistics and evidence synthesis within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in real-world study statistical analysis, and evidence synthesis.
  • Proven track record of leading real world statistics and evidence synthesis taking accountability for results.
  • High level of commercial awareness and strategic thinking skills.
  • Substantial experience operating in a cross-functional environment and building productive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in complex decision making, taking into account a broad range of technical factors, business considerations, potential risks, and perspectives.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences in a professional manner.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to operate as lead in cross-functional teams and influence decision making.
  • Knowledge of global payer landscape related statistical methods and evidence synthesis.
  • Highly analytical with strong data manipulation skills and ability to identify trends and patterns.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical Demands:
