About This Role
The Global Forecasting Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the forecasting process across multiple indications. This role drives accurate predictions and delivers strategic insights to support planning and resource allocation. As a strategic thought partner to PDC senior stakeholders, the Lead ensures market dynamics are well understood and reflected in both short- and long-term planning. The role demands strong analytical acumen, leadership, and a deep understanding of global market trends.
What You'll Do
Forecasting & Strategic Partnership
- Lead short- and long-term forecasting for PDCs, presenting recommendations to senior/executive leadership.
- Develop business case scenarios proactively and reactively, ensuring alignment on core assumptions.
- Serve as a thought partner to drive insights-based decisions and deepen understanding of business performance and opportunities.
- Conduct scenario planning to anticipate market shifts and develop responsive strategies.
- Identify risks and uncertainties impacting forecast accuracy and implement mitigation strategies.
- Apply advanced statistical methods and models (e.g., epidemiology-based) to analyze historical data, market trends, and external drivers.
- Raise critical issues and facilitate assumption alignment with global and regional leadership.
- Strengthen forecasting operations in partnership with PDC and IT, leveraging modern methodologies and technologies.
Capability Building & Continuous Improvement
- Assess and implement advanced forecasting technologies and tools to improve the precision and timeliness of predictions.
- Lead the Forecasting model creation, maintenance, and evolution, including providing training to countries’ teams for effective use.
- Act as a Project Leader or Project Manager in TA or Functional critical projects.
- Foster experience exchange and learning loops through internal community engagement, creating opportunities to nurture and support new ideas and showcase best practices and market trends.
Who You Are
You love forecasting and are passionate about using data to guide key strategic business decisions, including business growth. You love learning new therapy areas, working in a cross functional environment creating strong collaborations and engaging with senior leadership.
Qualifications
- BA/BS required
- 10+ years strategic consulting experience in Pharma / Biotech / Medical Device industry or relevant experience
- Prior experience in a global strategic forecasting role, in-market categories, nephrology experience preferred
- Strong business acumen & communication skills and ability to work with and present to senior executives
- Great strategic problem-solving skills, leading structured thinking around complex problems to enable data-driven decision-making
- Experience in global markets; understanding of local market dynamics and data sources
- Highly collaborative; must be able to navigate, manage the needs and drive effective partnerships with individuals and teams across the organization.
Preferred Skills
- MBA/MS/PhD in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
- Knowledge and proficiency in forecast modeling platforms and tools. Excel proficiency is required. Previous use of patient flow or related complex models.
- Curiosity about how to leverage innovative technologies for forecasting
- Experience using secondary data
- Experience managing competitive intelligence or market research projects
Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $176,000.00-$293,000.00. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
