Role: Global Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Director leading strategic and operational EHS functions across biopharma manufacturing sites worldwide. Objectives include developing and maintaining an EHS Management System, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and fostering a proactive safety culture. Responsibilities encompass formulating global EHS strategies, overseeing compliance with ISO 14001/45001, conducting audits, managing incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement. The role involves collaboration with executive leadership, site managers, engineering, facilities, HR, and ESG teams, with a focus on embedding EHS standards and risk mitigation. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related fields, with a master's preferred, plus 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership, preferably in manufacturing environments. Certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are required. Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, international EHS regulations, and experience managing global programs and audits are essential. The position demands strong leadership, communication, analytical skills, and the ability to influence at executive and site levels. Travel up to 30% to global manufacturing locations is expected. The role supports biopharma production of biologics, emphasizing compliance, safety, and sustainability within a regulated, GxP environment.
