Responsibilities:
- Lead the Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Development Team (GDT) for a specific oncology asset/product.
- Accountable for clinical development of the product/indication and for creating/executing the clinical development plan.
- Develop integrated product strategy delivered via milestones/decision points to achieve approvals and maximize product value.
- Communicate regularly with the Disease Area Head on program metrics, milestones, and risks.
- Lead cross-functional delivery (including regulatory, statistical, clinical pharmacology) and integrate regulatory/statistical input into trial design.
- Oversee R&D budget delivery with GPTs (at/below target) and manage funding savings/redistribution.
- Partner with Oncology Commercial and BD/Commercial Development to evaluate US/ex-US opportunities.
- Own external input into trial design (advisory boards/steering committees) and be primary governance interface for OLT/OSGT.
- Drive talent acquisition, objective setting/prioritization, risk management, issue resolution, contingency planning, and team communications.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- MD with 10+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical/academic/medical research.
- Experience in early and late-stage product development; regulatory filings and product launches/lifecycle management (preferred).
- Hematology/Oncology experience required.
- Ability to lead data-driven strategy across a matrix organization; strong leadership, communication (incl. presentations), and business acumen.
- Experience with corporate partners/alliance management.
