Global Development Medical Director

Role: Global Development Medical Director leading late-phase CVRM clinical trials (Cardiovascular, Renal, NASH) at AstraZeneca. Objectives: oversee trial design, conduct, safety, data interpretation, and reporting to support regulatory approval and market positioning. Responsibilities: provide scientific expertise on study design, ensure compliance with GCP and regulations, manage safety surveillance, contribute to key study documents, and collaborate with global teams; support external communications and regulatory interactions. Requirements: MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent; 3+ years in clinical research within cardiovascular, renal, or NASH areas; knowledge of biostatistics, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory landscape; excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferred: medical background in nephrology or NASH, understanding of pharma R&D, clinical milestones, and drug development factors.
