Responsibilities
- Serve as single clinical point of accountability for clinical development of assigned internal medicine asset(s); lead cross-functional Clinical Development Team (clinical, clinical pharmacology, statistics, safety, commercial, patient access, operations) for study design, execution, and interpretation supporting global regulatory submissions.
- Create and secure endorsement for the Clinical Development Plan and associated protocol design documents.
- Lead global clinical development strategy, including pediatric investigation plan/study plan; ensure feasibility and optimized operational execution.
- Provide therapy area/indication expertise for clinical data review (CRF design, signal interpretation, adverse event contextualization).
- Develop clinical development enabling strategies (digital/innovation and patient engagement).
- Contribute to trial governance, statistical analysis plan, TLFs/table-listings-figures, and database release; support submission deliverables (IAP, IARP, submission TLFs; SCE, SCS).
- Support regulatory submissions and disclosure/defense (DSUR, PBRER); support label development/maintenance; ensure compliance with internal SOPs/external standards.
- Engage external stakeholders (Ad boards, Steering Committees, DMC, adjudication committees, patients/advocates).
Basic Qualifications
- MD or DO.
- 8+ years relevant clinical R&D experience with success in academia and/or biopharma.
- Background in chronic weight management, endocrinology, or internal medicine; Phase 1–3 clinical development and translational medicine.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical development, global/regional regulation, ICH/GCP, adverse event management.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated)
- Base salary: $274,500–$457,500; bonus target 25% and eligibility for long-term incentive; comprehensive health and retirement benefits, paid time off, caregiver/parental and medical leave.
- Up to 30% travel; hybrid role (on-site ~2.5 days/week).
