Responsibilities
- Serve as single clinical point of accountability for clinical development of assigned Internal Medicine asset(s); lead cross-functional Clinical Development Team.
- Own Clinical Development Plan and protocol design documents; ensure clinical program delivery in line with timelines and budget.
- Create global (incl. China/Japan) clinical development plans and pediatric investigation/study plans with trial clinicians to ensure feasibility and operational execution.
- Provide therapy area/indication expertise for clinical data review (e.g., CRF design, signal interpretation, adverse event contextualization).
- Support governance reviews; develop clinical development enabling strategies (digital/innovation, patient engagement).
- Contribute to trial-level statistical analysis plan, TLFs, database release; develop submission deliverables (IAP/IARP/submission TLFs, SCE/SCS) and review/approve safety narrative plans.
- Support label development/maintenance; provide regulatory submission support (DSUR, PBRER) including product defense.
- Engage external stakeholders (Ad boards, Steering Committees, DMC, adjudication committees, patients/advocates) to inform strategy and PDD development.

Qualifications
- MD or DO.
- Endocrinologist or internal medicine physician with cardiometabolic late-stage development experience (incl. type 2 diabetes).
- 8+ years relevant clinical R&D experience; extensive knowledge of clinical development, global/regional regulation, ICH/GCP, adverse event management.
- Demonstrated clinical/medical, administrative, and project management; strong written/verbal communication; experience managing/training large teams; designing/launching large teams preferred.
