Role: The Global Development Lead (GDL) oversees clinical development of assigned assets in Internal Medicine at Pfizer, serving as the primary clinical point of accountability. Responsibilities include leading the cross-functional Clinical Development Team, designing and gaining endorsement for the Clinical Development Plan, and supporting regulatory submissions and labeling activities. The GDL collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely, compliant clinical programs that support global approval and reimbursement, including pediatric studies. They provide therapeutic expertise, oversee clinical trial design, safety review, statistical analysis, and develop submission deliverables, including IND/IMPD, safety narratives, and regulatory documentation. Qualifications: MD or DO with 8+ years of experience in endocrinology or internal medicine, specifically in cardiometabolic late-stage development with type 2 diabetes. Extensive knowledge of clinical development, global regulations, ICH/GCP, and experience managing large teams. Preferred skills include strategic leadership, influence, conflict management, and experience in designing and launching clinical programs.
