Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and direct oversight for HSE programs across US and Canadian affiliates, including hazardous waste management for US commercial warehouses.
- Transform the Affiliate HSE program by designing and implementing a fit-for-purpose framework aligned to strategic objectives, leveraging digital technologies, and fostering a maturing safety culture.
- Track and analyze HSE performance KPIs; deliver data-driven reports to senior leadership to inform decisions.
- Improve safety culture through training, coaching, and influencing affiliate management and HSE representatives on best practices and line ownership of safety.
- Collaborate with regional fleet managers to integrate HSE elements into fleet programs, ensuring driver safety and regulatory compliance.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of progressive HSE experience with proven program management and leadership of corporate safety initiatives.
- Demonstrated influential leadership and exceptional communication skills; deep HSE technical knowledge, including extensive experience with US hazardous waste regulations (RCRA).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s/Ph.D. in relevant scientific/technical field.
- Certifications: CSP, CIH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or CHMM.
- Experience with commercial/sales/field teams in pharma or animal health.
- Ability to influence senior leadership in a global, matrixed organization.
- Active involvement/leadership in professional HSE organizations.
