Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing of goods and services within Global EM perimeter; execute/implement contracts and agreements.
- Develop, implement, execute, and optimize sourcing strategies using supplier, technology, and market intelligence aligned to global category management.
- Conduct supplier/technology market analysis with benchmarking; share global supplier expertise.
- Build category/sub-category strategies with Procurement sourcing team and Business Partners; consolidate business needs, create action plans, run negotiations, and support implementation.
- Ensure category sourcing plans are executed per global strategy and regional/country needs.
- Deliver total savings; ensure procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, market intel, risk management, innovation, CSR/HSE, compliance, quality).
- Manage Business Reviews with key suppliers.
- Optimize purchasing for internal customers; develop reports/dashboards, maintain standard costs and KPIs; support controlling reporting.
- Provide market trends and support budget/PPV/PO processes; drive new market opportunities; lead RFPs via e-sourcing tool.
- Lead negotiations; lead SRM programs (as assigned); improve supplier performance using Lean.
- Support DPO objectives; support inventory targets (with Supply Chain).
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelorโs degree required.
- 5+ yearsโ experience in procurement/operations/engineering/quality or related; management/senior experience preferred.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience highly preferred; drug substance and/or drug product experience preferred.
- Contract/third-party manufacturing experience preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English required.
- Knowledge of procurement systems/processes; analytical and negotiation skills.
- Leadership, communication, interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate cross-functional teams.
- Basic ERP (SAP) and financial practices; proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint and project management.
