Operations
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing of goods and services within the Global EM perimeter; execute and implement contracts/agreements.
- Conduct supplier and technology market analysis with benchmarking; share global supplier market expertise.
- Develop and optimize category/sub-category sourcing strategies; contribute to procurement sourcing team and business partners (lead specifiers).
- Anticipate and consolidate business needs; develop action plans and execute negotiations for category/sub-category.
- Ensure execution of sourcing plans aligned with global strategy and regional/country needs; deliver total savings objectives.
- Ensure procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, market intelligence, risk management, innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality) at your perimeter.
- Manage business reviews with key suppliers.

Operational:
- Optimize purchasing within Global EM across multiple sites/entities; travel as needed.
- Develop reports/dashboards; maintain standard costs and KPIs; support controlling reporting.
- Provide market trends, budget assumptions, and LRP to the procurement network.
- Support annual budget, PPV, and PO processes.
- Drive new market opportunities; lead and conduct RFPs using e-sourcing tool.
- Drive supplier negotiations; lead SRM programs; apply Lean to improve supplier performance.
- Support DPO objectives and, where applicable, inventory targets.

Business Partnering:
- Act as procurement focal point; ensure alignment and integration across M&S/Business/Procurement networks.
- Maintain interfaces with P2P, Finance, Legal, and other teams.

Category Management & Compliance:
- Ensure operational sourcing/action plan aligns with category strategy; support strategic negotiations.
- Ensure procurement skills remain current; participate in training/audit readiness; perform compliance checks; manage pre/post audits and crisis management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years’ experience in procurement, operations, engineering, quality, or related fields.
- Management/senior-level experience preferred.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience highly preferred; drug substance and/or drug product experience preferred.
- Experience with contract/third-party manufacturing preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English required.

Technical Skills (Preferred):
- Knowledge of procurement systems/processes.
- Analytical and negotiation skills; leadership and cross-functional facilitation.
- Basic ERP understanding (e.g., SAP) and financial practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Management.
