Role Summary

The Gen AI Commercial Strategy Lead will be an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking leader to drive the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of GenAI initiatives across the commercial organization. As GenAI Strategy & Enablement lead, you will be responsible for identifying high-impact use cases, launching pilots, and enabling AI-driven decision-making across functions such as Forecasting, Market Research, Sales, Marketing and Access. The role reports to the Sr.Director of Strategic Analytics & Market Insights.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the current state of forecasting, competitive intelligence, and market research to identify pain points and GenAI opportunities across commercial functions
  • Define the future-state GenAI architecture and toolset required for Arcutis to stay competitive in a fast-evolving healthcare ecosystem
  • Develop and manage a 3-year GenAI roadmap, starting with 3β€šΓ„Γ¬4 pilot programs in 2026 aligned to commercial goals such as market expansion, field productivity, and access optimization
  • Design and implement a framework to evaluate, prioritize, and scale GenAI use cases across business units
  • Collaborate with data, analytics, and IT teams to ensure that AI models are built on clean, reliable data with measurable business outcomes
  • Champion GenAI education and change management by sharing internal success stories, hosting enablement sessions, and building confidence across brand and field teams
  • Serve as the thought partner to senior leadership on how AI will shape the future of commercial pharma operations

Education & Licenses And Experience

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree (MBA, MS in Data Science, or related) preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial operations, strategy, or analytics within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry

Competencies & Skills

  • Deep understanding of pharma commercial data sources (e.g., sales, claims, HCP engagement, access) and how they support forecasting and insight generation
  • 3β€šΓ„Γ¬5 years of hands-on experience leading GenAI/ML initiatives with demonstrated impact on business performance
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and influence without authority
  • Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, large language models, prompt engineering, and model evaluation frameworks
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
  • Strategic mindset with a bias toward execution, experimentation, and continuous learning
  • Travel up to 20%
