Role: Lead biologics and ADC process development within AbbVie's Process Engineering team, focusing on designing robust, scalable manufacturing processes for preclinical and clinical stages. Objectives include developing and optimizing biologics processes, advancing innovative engineering technologies, and supporting regulatory submissions. Responsibilities encompass leading process development efforts, establishing research plans, demonstrating processes in pilot plants, solving complex biochemical and engineering challenges, and authoring technical and regulatory documents. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with chemists, analytical scientists, and regulatory teams, as well as presenting at scientific conferences. Qualifications include a BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical or Bio Engineering with 4+ to 12+ years of relevant industrial experience, strong chemical engineering expertise, and experience in biologics or ADC process development, including bioconjugation and purification. Preferred skills involve knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, UV/Vis, Raman), process scale-up, mechanistic modeling, control strategy development, GxP compliance, and leading cross-disciplinary teams. The candidate should demonstrate scientific leadership, effective communication, and a collaborative approach. High-value specifics include biologics and ADC modalities, GxP and regulatory support, and experience across development stages from early research to clinical manufacturing.
