Biopharmaceutical Development (BPD)
Biodpharmaceutical Development (BPD) group is a multi-disciplinary scientific function, working with diverse and novel molecular modalities across all therapeutic areas within AstraZeneca. BPD integrates cell biology, process science, molecular structure & function, solution and solid-state chemistry, advanced data analytics, and engineering, to develop industry-leading technologies. We are also responsible for transferring the processes to different commercial sites in and outside the AstraZeneca organization.
