      Role Summary
 Formulation Specialist - Aseptic (2nd Shift) at Zoetis. Performs assembly, preparation, and cleaning of manufacturing equipment and conducts manufacturing processes for animal health products in the formulation area. Requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards in a lean manufacturing environment.
 
 Responsibilities
 
 - Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with batch records, SOPs, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards (cGMPs).
 
 - Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on formulation equipment.
 
 - Assemble, disassemble, and clean formulation equipment and work areas.
 
 - Work with hazardous materials following gowning procedures, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
 
 - Follow detailed recipes requiring accurate measurement and mixing to create finished products.
 
 - Monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
 
 - Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tasks.
 
 - Effectively communicate with support personnel and leadership.
 
 - Collaborate with the team to maintain production schedule and department objectives.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 - Required: High school diploma or GED.
 
 - Required: Basic math, English communication, legible penmanship, and reading comprehension.
 
 - Required: Ability to follow detailed instructions and reference technical documentation.
 
 - Required: Basic use of Microsoft applications and general computer skills.
 
 - Required: Effective interpersonal communication and a positive outlook.
 
 - Required: Critical thinking, collaborative investigation and solution development.
 
 - Required: Strong mechanical skills and experience with various hand tools.
 
 - Required: Not allergic to Cephalosporin/Penicillin.
 
 
 
 Preferred
 
 - Knowledge of cGMPs and production practices.
 
 - Experience in a Lean Production and/or manufacturing environment.
 
 - Reliable transportation and good attendance/time management.
 
 - Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement (5S, visual schedule, PDCA, M1, etc.).
 
 - Ability to train on area SOPs/OJT (equipment, process, paperwork).
 
 - Experience with technical writing and training documentation.
 
 
 
 Physical and Other Requirements
 
 - Routine lifting of 20-50 lbs.
 
 - Prolonged sitting and standing.
 
 - Flexible hours and potential overtime.
 
 - Manual dexterity to maintain pace of production.
 
 - Work environment may involve exposure to airborne particles (cephalosporin) and moving mechanical parts; PPE required.
 
 
 
 Education
 
 - High school diploma or GED.
